Backend Engineer

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Design and implement RESTful APIs for mobile, web and 3rd party integrations
  • Design and implement highly scalable microservice-based services
  • Write unit tests, integration tests, performance tests and deploy using CI/CD pipeline
  • Be actively involved in the design and code review process
  • Debug & fix production issues and participate in strategies to prevent future occurrence
  • Work in a fast-paced agile scrum environment with distributed teams across US

Skill Requirements

Required Skills:

  • Experience building large scale, distributed and performant applications for Customer facing product
  • Deep understanding of API design principles and patterns
  • Expert skills on Clojure Experience writing and fine tuning SQL queries for performance
  • Experience with at least one scripting language – Python, Perl, Ruby or Shell
  • Experience configuring and debugging applications running on JVM

Desired Skills:

  • Experience with SIP or VOIP or Video frameworks and tools
  • Experience with Machine Learning and Speech/Voice recognition

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as Software engineer
  • Authorized to work in the US
