Job Description

Please note: We are seeking candidates in the following time-zone only: Europe (GMT+0 - GMT+4) - essentially between Ireland and Eastern Europe.

We are offering a full-time (40 hours/week) remote position for candidates located within European time zones.

Reporting to the Content Marketing Strategist and Head of Marketing, you will also work closely with the wider Marketing team, especially PR, and food tour managers in different countries across Europe.

The ideal candidate has a Marketing background, with proven organizational and analytical abilities and excellent communication skills, particularly written.

This is an amazing opportunity for an ambitious, talented individual who is looking to grow as part of a remote team.

 Although this role will require a creative mind, a considerable amount of time will be spent on planning and organising content.

As the Content & Social Media Specialist you will:

  • Maintain and update our editorial publishing calendar. Work closely with other members of the Marketing team to make sure our publishing schedule mirrors our campaign efforts.
  • Research, write and schedule content (WordPress, social media posts, emails). A/B testing and reporting. You’ll need to have an intuitive understanding of what makes for outstanding online content.

  • Track campaigns across social media, email and our website. Report on campaign results.

  • Upload Marketing files (documents, images, spreadsheets, etc.) on the shared drive, generally ensure files are kept well organized.

  • Monitor industry trends and generate creative ideas for Marketing campaigns. You’ll need to be confident reaching out to social media influencers to develop positive, ongoing relationships with them.

  • Work with designers to create visual assets for our site and Marketing. 
Work and manage content creation with writers, influencers, photographers, video producers etc.


Skill Requirements

We want to hear from you if you have:

  • At least 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role

  • A Native English speaker

  • Impeccable grammar, writing, organizational and time management skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and attention to detail

  • Solid knowledge of Inbound Marketing principles

  • Experience in developing amazing online content

  • Used WordPress and know SEO best practices

  • Experience with scheduling platforms such as Hootsuite, Tweetdeck, etc.

  • Basic photo-editing skills

  • Can think critically and problem-solve in an entrepreneurial environment


It's a bonus if you have any of the following:

  • Previous experience working freelance/remotely

  • A passion for food, travel and European culture

  • Knowledge of E-Mail Marketing Platforms (i.e. Mailchimp, Drip, ActiveCampaign)
  • Experience with remote tools like Slack & Trello

  • Basic HTML knowledge

  • Basic video editing skills
  • You speak other languages
