Job Description

Calix is looking for a Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team. This will be a 6-9 month contract engagement. While Calix headquarters is in San Jose, CA, this role may be performed remotely.

In partnership with the Talent & Culture Business Partners and business leaders, you will proactively identify our recruiting needs and help us fill vacancies with qualified talent. The Recruiter is also expected to use various channels to source and recruit potential candidates, contact passive candidates, and build talent pipelines for future hiring needs. If you have strong networking skills, are an experienced end-to-end recruiter and enjoy developing talent for varied roles, this position is perfect for you!

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with hiring leaders and Talent & Culture Business Partners to develop a complete understanding of each opening.
  • Develop an appropriate strategy with the hiring team for attracting qualified candidates.
  • Develop creative sourcing solutions for filling difficult positions by using knowledge of current recruiting practices and trends.
  • “Farm” the internal applicant tracking database and external databases for candidates. Heavy cold calling of candidates is required.
  • Accurately maintain Workday applicant-tracking system for reporting purposes.
  • Drive the closure of open requisitions by diligently following up with hiring leaders and driving the recruiting process.
  • Assist in closing offers with candidates by partnering with hiring leaders and Talent & Culture to sell candidates on opportunities at Calix.

Skill Requirements

  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years proven technical recruiting experience in a corporate environment in either the telecommunications and/or high tech.
  • Must possess a strong aptitude for selling.
  • Experience utilizing various ATS to manage candidate pipeline and workflow; preferably Workday Recruiting.
  • Proven organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and work well in an environment with competing demands.
  • Ideal candidate will be highly motivated, dynamic and self-directed.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks and manage work time efficiently.
  • Proven ability to consistently and positively contribute in a fast-paced, changing work environment.
  • Passion for and dedication to improving the candidate experience.
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, problem solver with a desire to positively contribute to the organization’s reputation, growth and success.
