Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO AS A DIRECTOR OF PERSONALIZATION:

The Director of Personalization will function as a consultant and partner to our North American sales team, aiming to help them get higher and wider in enterprise opportunities. You will assist in identifying & developing new business selling opportunities for both our existing client base as well as clients outside of our current business portfolio. You will use your technical acumen to identify and build multi-channel use cases that resonate with both marketers and IT organizations. You will essentially be an ambassador to the Monetate brand.

You will:

  • Lead growth objectives by ensuring new business strategies are implemented and proposal requirements are managed. appropriately. Conceptualize how products and services can be differentiated and re-constructed in the marketplace.
  • Be responsible for formulating and executing sales strategies for key clients to enable sales across all Monetate products and services to all key stakeholders.
  • Lead the strategic planning process and ensure that appropriate analysis is conducted which includes competitive market analysis, internal review of strength, weaknesses, threats and opportunities.
  • Partner with Director of Channel Sales to facilitate discussion around go-to-market use-cases, vet technical feasibility, and bring Monetates solution to like-minded SaaS tech companies who are selling to the same brands that we are.
  • Partner with our Enterprise Integrations team to help build integrations based on joint customer needs and bring the combined solution to market.
  • Work with clients, product management and technical staff to develop new product ideas and identify opportunities in response to current and future market needs.
  • Effectively shape customer requirements through personal influence.
  • Work closely with our marketing team to develop marketing strategies and ensure they are executed, tracked and improved.
  • Develop a consultative approach to sales, by understanding the business drivers of personalization and articulating those in proposed offerings.
  • Actively participate in product demonstrations and managing client queries and expectations throughout the sales cycle through to customer acceptance.
  • Maintain timely and effective communication to all other Monetate stakeholders throughout the process.

Skill Requirements

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Retail brand experience or consulting experience for retail brands.
  • A working understanding of the MarTech landscape.
  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to implement pragmatic and effective solutions.
  • Executive presence; establishes credibility, able to challenge and play devil’s advocate as required; develops and articulates personal opinions with conviction.
  • Excellent communicator with all levels of the organization. Effective listener, clear, concise, candid speaker that inspires others.
  • Strong business acumen that gets results.
