It’s our editor’s job to ensure that the copy we use across all our comms to customers is on brand, appropriately localised and free of errors.
It’s a chance to help to create humorous, lively and all-round-fun copy for a company that is dedicated to making children more clever, curious and kind (and making them laugh, too!)
If you are an experienced, energetic and talented French or Dutch editor with a great grasp of English, we want to hear from you!
What you’ll be doing:
Ensure that the highest quality transcreation of our comms is met across our…
As an e-commerce company our website is our shop, and needs to communicate who we are and what we do. Our tone of voice is important to us, and should be consistently upheld across the website. At the same time, each locale should have a tailor fit approach to give our customers the best possible experience, no matter where they live. In addition, the purchase journey should be as smooth as possible – enabling customers to make a pain free purchase and leave them wanting to come back again and again!
Paid Marketing, CRM and Email
We tell our audiences about our books across performance marketing channels such as Facebook, Pinterest and PPC. The ideal candidate would have experience writing for a similar brand across digital marketing platforms – and have knowledge of the markets in order to successfully cover relevant keywords and messaging, as well as bringing ideas for fresh content.
In addition we regularly communicate with our customers via email to let them know about product releases, editorial blog content and our trade events. The tone across all of these needs to remain consistent and on brand – written to entice and entertain our existing customers.
We also like to regularly post longer form editorial blog content, such as craft activities or listicle posts, which summarise the uniqueness of our products. This content aims to engage our audience and is a softer approach to increasing brand awareness – so calls for a slightly different style and tone.
Once upon a time (in 2012) four friends got together to make a personalized book – better than any personalized book that had ever been made before! They worked on it in their spare time as a pet project. Late nights. Understanding families. Pretending to work on work stuff at work, when they weren’t. Eventually it was finished—a charming story called The Little Girl/Boy Who Lost Their Name, in which the story itself would change based on the name of the child it was created for. It was even more magical than the friends had imagined.
They launched it! Word got around. People bought it, and said nice things about it. And the friends thought, Hang on. Hang on a second. This could be BIG. The next couple of years were a bit of a blur. Hundreds of books were created, then thousands, then millions! These four friends had transformed the book into a whole company called Lost My Name, where they started to create new, even more imaginative personalized stories.
The four friends soon became a hundred friends. Lost My Name became Wonderbly. And the book that started it all grew into a whole feast of impossibly personalized stories, each one designed to make any child feel extraordinarily special. To make them feel like any story they imagined could be their story.
And this? This is our story. So far.
