Job Description

Build Thinkful by building the Thinkful team. Lead hiring across the product team initially, as well as education, marketing, and for our programs over time.

You’ll make sure every role we’re hiring for is well-defined and well-considered. You’ll build and execute a plan to source top talent, making sure we’re choosing among great people for every role. You’ll manage the interview process, helping train team members on interviewing and putting processes in place to ensure we’re continuously improving our hiring practices.

Hiring is a top priority for us you’ll report to the company’s Head of People and work closely with the whole management and recruitment team.


  • Lead talent acquisition for all of Thinkful’s new roles
  • Source candidates across all functions
  • Manage the interview process, ensuring that our assessments are objective and consistent
  • Help shape company narrative and organizational structure consistent with our strategy, core values and business objectives
  • Support development of people practices, including onboarding and performance management
  • Ensure new employees are onboarded within their team, manager, and across the company.

Skill Requirements

  • 2+ years experience as a recruiter or recruiting coordinator
  • Involvement hiring for technical and product roles
  • Understanding of technical career ladder and landscape
  • Track record of filling hard-to-fill roles
  • Demonstrated rigorous thinking
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
  • Highly organized
