Sales Development Representative

  • Contract: Full-time

Job Description

The Independent Contractor Business Development Representative’s role is to drive the development of our customer’s sales pipelines. Your day-to-day activity includes contacting targeted senior executives via email and phone to schedule initial sales appointments with our customer’s sales professionals.

You will be given exceptional training on our customer’s product, qualified lead lists (including contact information), and professionally written email templates.

This position is a full time independent contractor position (minimum 30 hours/week). The hourly pay plus commission is very competitive.


  • Contact prospects via email and phone
  • Work efficiently to meet all metric’s requirements (# calls made, # emails sent, and # of meetings scheduled)
  • Introduce customer’s solutions to potential decision makers
  • Arrange appointments with customer’s sales professionals
  • Meet with customers on a weekly basis to discuss and assess sales goals and meetings
  • Document all sales activity in CRM system, Salesforce.com
  • Log hours in the time management system
  • Stay in communication with managers daily via phone and email

Skill Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years successful B2B lead development, inside sales, appointment setting, and/or direct sales experience
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working remotely and able to troubleshoot basic IT issues
  • Basic knowledge of excel
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Professional demeanor
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce)
  • Must have access to a computer with current and/or recent Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook programs.
  • Must have functioning headphones with built in mic or external mic in order to access soft phone.
