Vice President of Medicare Sales

Job Description

The Medicare team will be a major growth focus for Livongo throughout the next 3 years, and this is your chance to play a major role in that growth, as the primary commercial lead in the Health Services Segment! You’ll also have the convenience of working remotely, or from either of our main offices in Chicago or our Silicon Valley location.

In your role as Vice President you’ll focus on growing the Medicare Advantage footprint through executive relationship management and creation of strategic partnerships with leading Medicare plans. You’ll increase our booked business within the Medicare space, as you help lead market strategy, team development and product innovation. One of your primary objectives will be to position Livongo as an embedded benefit in the Medicare Advantage product by 2020.

  • Manage and grow Livongo’s relationships with Medicare Advantage health plans
  • Build strategic relationships with Medicare Advantage Plan executives, across a matrix of roles and areas of expertise spanning Sales, Product, and EVP and C-level market-facing personnel
  • Build relationships within national health plans and smaller provider-sponsored health plan organizations, scaling the market over a 2-year time period
  • Help create the strategic roadmap for Livongo in the Medicare market
  • Maximize, drive and achieve revenue and sales goals

Skill Requirements

  • A proven track record of success working within health plans, large employers or healthcare providers
  • 10+ years of complex sales and account executive experience
  • A foundational understanding of managed care, healthcare reform and Medicare Advantage operations
  • A goal-oriented approach to your career and your team
  • Passion for working in a highly-visible, path-forging, multi-tasking capacity, at the intersection of healthcare and technology
  • Leadership experience and skill, with a high-level vision for market development
  • Strong interpersonal, relationship-building and listening skills, with a natural, effective, consultative style
  • The ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience advising, presenting to and persuading senior corporate personnel
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, and an impassioned team spirit
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience successfully navigating the healthcare ecosystem (consultants, brokers, payers, health systems, TPA, etc.) strongly preferred
